Submitted "Outside, Looking In" to Asimov's Science Fiction last night. I waffled a bit, but the guidelines said that "borderline fantasy" is ok. I think my story kind of squats on that borderline.
Five weeks is their stated response-time guesstimate. So... June 13th-ish.
As I recall, the Asimov's rejection letter runs something like this: "We receive so many oodles to the oodleth power manuscripts we cannot deign to respond to each puny manuscript; suffice it to say that if we rejected your manuscript, we had good reason, and it most likely had everything to do with your utter lack of command of the English language."
Just thought I'd pass that on since, of course, you won't be getting a rejection letter, and I'd hate for you to miss out on the experience. ;o)
